Culinary Arts Program Information Sessions
Charlottesville, VA -Piedmont Virginia Community College is hosting information sessions for its Culinary Arts associate degree program at the PVCC Jefferson School Center, 233 Fourth St. NW, in downtown Charlottesville. Dates for the sessions are:
Thursday, Nov. 14, 7 p.m.
Saturday, Nov. 16, 10 a.m.
Thursday, Dec. 5, 5 p.m.
Attendance at one of the three information sessions is required for students interested in beginning PVCC's Culinary Arts degree program in the spring semester 2014. The sessions will cover class descriptions, tips for success in the program, student materials and supplies, and instructions for meeting with a Culinary Arts faculty member to register for classes.
Graduates of the new culinary arts program will be prepared for entry-level jobs as chefs, sous chefs, pastry chefs, caterers, food service managers and more. The program includes credit classes in food preparation, foodservice management, nutrition, safety and sanitation and hospitality industry computer systems. Classes are held in PVCC's new teaching kitchen and classrooms at PVCC's Jefferson School Center located at 233 Fourth Street, NW, in downtown Charlottesville.
