PVCC Board Meeting May 1
Charlottesville, VA - The public is invited to attend the meeting of the Piedmont Virginia Community College Board on Wednesday, May 1, 2013, at 3 p.m. The meeting will be held in classroom 127 at the PVCC Jefferson School Center, 233 Fourth Street NW, Charlottesville. A sign-up sheet will be available 30 minutes prior to the beginning of the meeting for persons interested in addressing the Board.
The Board will consult with City of Charlottesville leaders at 5 p.m. Each spring the PVCC Board meets with the leadership of one of the seven jurisdictions the College serves in order to discuss ways that PVCC can better serve the educational needs of that area.
PVCC is a nonresidential two-year institution of higher education that serves Central Virginia - principally residents of the City of Charlottesville and the counties of Albemarle, Buckingham, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa and Nelson. Our scenic campus is located in Albemarle County. It is one of 23 community colleges in Virginia that comprise the Virginia Community College System.
Since the College opened in 1972, more than 200,000 students have taken classes, and more than 10,900 associate degrees and certificates have been awarded.
