Financial Aid Super Saturday Feb. 9 at PVCC
Charlottesville, VA - On Saturday, Feb. 9, Piedmont Virginia Community College will host Super Saturday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on its campus at 501 College Drive in Charlottesville. Sponsored by the Virginia Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators, Super Saturday is free and open to the public.
This annual event invites college-bound students of all ages to receive free information about financial aid for any college they want to attend and assistance in completing the federal financial aid form, the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Volunteer financial aid experts will assist parents and students of all grade levels as well as adults interested in furthering their education. A drawing for a $100 book scholarship will be held.
What To Bring
To complete the FAFSA, students and parents must bring identification information, W-2 Forms and recent tax return documents. A complete list of required documents is available at www.vasfaa.org. PVCC will have computers available for attendees to apply for federal aid electronically.
Info Sessions and Workshops
Help and information are available any time between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Financial aid information sessions that explain the federal and state financial aid process will be held from 10:30-11:30 a.m. and again from 12:30-1:30 p.m. A special session about scholarships available through PVCC's Educational Foundation for individuals planning to attend PVCC during the 2013-14 academic year that begins in August will be held from 11:45 a.m. until 12:15 p.m.
