Hip Hop Dance Master Class Nov. 10
Charlottesville, VA - Piedmont Virginia Community College continues its Dance Master Class series with a hip-hop dance class taught by Brittney Payne. The class is from noon until 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10, in the Main Stage Theatre of the V. Earl Dickinson Building. Cost is $10 per participant.
This class will combine warm-up, hip-hop technique, rhythm and choreography. Students will learn to "hear" music and how the hip-hop movements complement the rhythm and backbeats of each song. The class will feature current hip-hop, rap, R&B and pop music and is open to all levels of dancers.
Payne has trained in various styles of dance since age 13. She has taught ballet, jazz and hip-hop at InMotion School of Dance in Harrisonburg since 2007.
