Apply for Financial Aid Now for Fall Semester
Charlottesville, VA - Piedmont Virginia Community College encourages prospective students who need financial aid for fall classes to complete the online Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form at www.fafsa.ed.gov no later than July 23. Completing the FAFSA determines eligibility for student financial aid such as grants and scholarships (which don't have to be repaid), work study (part-time work to help pay for college) or low-interest direct loans. Completing the FAFSA after July 23 is permissible, but aid processing could be delayed. PVCC's fall semester starts Monday, Aug. 27.
A new online video with tips about completing the FAFSA is available at www.vawizard.org/finaidtutorial. The tutorial offers step-by-step tips presented by Virginia Education Wizard avatars Chris and Maria.
