Charlottesville, VA - The Piedmont Virginia Community College Chorus will perform its annual spring concert Sunday, April 29, at 3 p.m. on the Main Stage of the V. Earl Dickinson Building. Admission is free and open to the public.
The chorus will present a variety of music including Broadway show tunes from The Music Man and West Side Story, pop classics by Paul Simon and the Eagles, classic love songs including "Embraceable You" and "Moon River" and more. The concert is a gift from the College to music lovers in Central Virginia.
Now in its 14th season, the chorus is directed by Jeff Suling, assistant professor of music at PVCC and fine arts coordinator for Charlottesville City Schools. He is accompanied by Kris Cushman on piano and Dave Cushman on drums.
Members are students in the College's Chorus Ensemble class, a one-credit class offered each fall and spring semester and open to students and community members without audition.
