The State Board for Community Colleges is responsible for the establishment, control, administration and supervision of Community Colleges in the Virginia Community College System, including Piedmont Virginia Community College.
Piedmont Virginia Community College Board
The Piedmont Virginia Community College Board acts in an advisory capacity to the State Board for Community Colleges and performs such duties with respect to the operation of a single, comprehensive Community College as is delegated to it by the State Board for Community Colleges. The role of the PVCC Board is outlined in the VCCS Policy Manual and the Piedmont Virginia Community College Board Policies and Procedures Manual.
Piedmont Virginia Community College President's Staff
The President's Staff consists of the College's Vice President for Finance and Administrative Services, Vice President for Instruction and Student Services, Chief Information Officer, Director of Institutional Research, Planning and Institutional Effectiveness and Director of Institutional Advancement and Development. It constitutes the leadership team for the College.
The College has five instructional divisions - Business, Mathematics & Technologies; Humanities, Fine Arts & Social Sciences; Health and Life Sciences; Workforce Services; Student Services division. The dean of each of these divisions reports to the Vice President for Instruction and Student Services.
